Family File
Most written communication, such as the newsletter, schedules, time standards, etc., will be put in a file
folder on deck that has your family name on it. It is the swimmer's responsibility to check their folder
each time they attend practice. We will post these messages online whenever possible as we know these messages
sometimes get lost.
Team E-Mail Group
The team has a Yahoo group called LSAC that is used to send e-mail messages to all members of the group.
This e-mail group is used to announce upcoming meets and to make announcements concerning practice changes.
The email ID that you provided on your registration form is automatically added to the LSAC Yahoo group.
If you need to add additional email IDs to the LSAC Yahoo group,
Team Web Site
The club uses our website for news and/or scheduling information.
Photos will also be posted on the website. Please note that names of swimmers will not be listed
next to photos and only swimmers who granted permission to have their photos posted will be shown.
Meet results will be posted with the swimmers first and last names.
When contacting the coaches, PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE. The best way to speak with the coaches is to meet them
after practice. They usually make themselves available then to answer questions, provide information, etc.
Sending an email to the coach is a good way to get information to them.
PROBLEMS WITH THE COACH?
One of the traditional swim team communication gaps is that some parents seem to feel more comfortable
in discussing their disagreements over coaching philosophy with other parents rather than taking them
directly to the Coach. Not only is the problem never resolved that way, but in fact this approach often
results in new problems being created. Listed below are some guidelines for a parent raising some difficult
issues with a Coach:
